SD Card Icon: In this tutorial I will teach you how to create a SD card.

Download this shape set. Click here

Open up photoshop and create a new document 900px by 900 px.

You can use the pen tool to create the shape or you can just download the shape from my webpage.

Fill the selection with #6e6e70. If you downloaded the shape use the custom shape icon to obtain the shape of the SD card. You can use the custom shape icon to obtain the SD card shape.

The shape should look similar to the picture below.

Now go to blending options and apply a gradient overlay and Bevel and emboss. Use the image below as a reference to obtain the right settings. When you apply the gradient apply #4e4d4d on the left and #7b7b7b on the right to get the color of the DC card.

Now ctrl click on the SD card layer to select it. Make another layer above the SD card layer .

Use the pen tool and make a selection similar to the picture below and pick #6e6e70 as the fill color.

Now add some anchor points on the path that you created.

Pull the anchor point out a little to create a curve shape.

Now apply these settings to the line that you created with the pen tool.

 

The image should look like the image above when you are finished.
Now we have to clean it up a little. We will use the blur tool to blend the image into the DS card.

Now blur the line into the SD card. Here is what it should look like when you finish blurring the line.
