In this tutorial, I will teach you how to create the calendar shown.

Part one:
Open photoshop, I sat up my workspace at 800 by 600. I used the same background color as my web page; you can use any color you want. Create a new layer, click on the Rectangle Tool rectangletool and draw the rectangle shown below, using this color: a6a1a1, Using the chop tool choptool Position the rectangle as shown.

Part two: Applying the Blending Options to the rectangle.
Right click on the Rectangle Layer and click Blending Option.

With that apply the settings shown below.

Click ok when you are finish.

You should have the effect shown below at this point.

Duplicate the rectangle layer (Ctrl+J), this layer should be above the previous layer.

Right click on the New layer and click Blending Option.

With that apply the settings shown below.

Using the Arrows on your keyboard offset the rectangle a little as shown in the image below.

Repeat this step but (Ctrl+J to duplicate the layer, and change the color of the rectangle to: dfdfdf Using the Arrows on your keyboard offset the rectangle as shown again.

Create a new layer, hold Ctrl and click on the layer you just created which should be the first layer. This will give you the effect below.

Using the Polygonal Lasso Tool Polygonial Lasso Tool chop about 75% off to get the effect shown below.

Fill that selection with: 8da9bf color.

Part Three: Creating the holes for the binder.
Using the Elliptical Marquee Tool while holding shift draw a little circle. using this color: 686868,

Next duplicate that layer 2 time to get the effect below.

Part Four: Creating the rings that holds the page.
Click on the Custom Shape Tool Custom Shape Tool using the setting below.

Create the circle shown below. You will have to use the Erase Tool to erase part of the circle.

Right click on the New layer and click Blending Option.

With that apply the settings shown below.

Click ok when you are finish.
with that you should have the effect below.

Next Add some text to the calendar and that is it.
